Sarah is an IT auditor turned cybersecurity maven, giving her all to secure a digital future for her country, Saudi Arabia, by day and being a loving mother and wife by night.

For Sarah, cybersecurity isn’t just about protecting data but safeguarding the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, businesses, and societies. She’s proud to contribute her data protection and privacy experiences to helping organizations outsmart cybersecurity threats and encourages other women keen on a career in cyber to believe in themselves and reach for their goals.

What do you love about working in the cybersecurity industry?

I love how dynamic cyber is. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to innovate, learn, and solve problems. Knowing my work safeguards sensitive data and protects organizations from cyberattacks is fulfilling.

How has being a woman shaped your experience in this industry?

As a working wife and a new mother, I’ve never viewed gender as a barrier to my career success. Instead, it has motivated me to work for excellence in my professional and family life.

Do you feel like you’re contributing to helping keep our world secure? If so, why does that matter?

Yes! It matters because cybersecurity is not just about protecting data or systems; it’s about safeguarding the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, businesses, and societies. Knowing that my efforts contribute to creating a safer digital environment for all is fulfilling and brings purpose to my work.

What do you do for fun?

I love exploring the world and connecting with people from diverse nationalities and backgrounds. I’ve found a balance that allows me to enjoy both my passion for cybersecurity and my love for travel.
