Rama Akkiraju, Vice President of Enterprise AI at NVIDIA, is leading efforts to build agentic AI platforms and intelligent agents that enhance productivity and business efficiency. For Rama, the biggest misconception about AI is that it’s a magic button that replaces human judgment. To her, it’s a force multiplier and its value comes from augmenting human expertise, not substituting it.

Rama’s career has been driven by curiosity and action. “Progress comes from stepping into ambiguous spaces, taking initiative, and creating value before anyone asks,” she says. That mindset shapes her leadership at NVIDIA, where she’s building an enterprise-grade Agentic AI platform that standardizes infrastructure, models, governance, and guardrails, so teams across engineering, supply chain, and IT can focus on solving real business problems instead of piecing together tools. The goal, she says, is to create a foundation that allows the entire organization to innovate safely, efficiently, and at scale as AI continues to evolve.

Rama envisions a workplace where AI agents work alongside humans. Her advice for getting started? “Pick one repetitive task, something you do every day, and automate it. When you see the results, adoption grows naturally through small, concrete wins.” Rama believes in standing firm when it matters. “Sometimes it means fighting to keep a project alive. Other times it means saying it’s time to stop. Both require conviction and both are essential for building systems that truly make an impact.”
