  1. HOW TO APPLY: During the Contest Period, you may visit https://thefq.thefemalequotient.com/women-in-ai-cohort-application (the “Website”) and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the application form and answer the essay questions in a maximum of 150 words per question (“Application”). There is a limit of one (1) Application per person/email address. Submission of an Application constitutes your agreement to these Official Rules. Applications must be received by 11:59 PM ET on October 18, 2024 to be considered for the Contest. Applications must be in compliance with the Applications Requirements below to be eligible. Any Application that violates this section or is otherwise objectionable (as determined solely by Sponsors), will not be considered and will be disqualified. All components of an Application must be submitted together at one time.
  2. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Each applicant acknowledges and agrees to the following with respect to the Application submitted: Applications become the property of Sponsors upon receipt and will not be acknowledged or returned. By submitting an Application, applicants acknowledge and agree that their Application (including all information submitted as part of the Application) become the property of the Sponsors, which thereby has the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, promote and otherwise use Applications in any way it sees fit. Automated, script, macro, AI generated or robotic Applications submitted by individuals will be disqualified. Incomplete, corrupted, or untimely Applications are void and will be disqualified. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, stolen or misdirected Applications; lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections; or miscommunications, computer or software malfunctions, telephone transmission problems, technical failures, garbled transmissions, damage to a user’s computer equipment (software or hardware), or other errors or malfunctions of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic or otherwise. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsors. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an applicant, the authorized account holder of the email account used to apply will be deemed to be the Applicant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, Internet service provider, or other organization (which may include an employer) responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. Applications specifying an invalid, non-working, or inactive email address will be disqualified and ineligible to win. Normal time rates, data rates and other fees or charges, if any, charged by the entrant’s Internet access, phone or mobile service provider will apply.

By submitting an Application, each applicant irrevocably grants to Sponsors and their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies, and the successors and assigns and licensees of each of the foregoing the right to use the applicant’s name, Application and any content associated with the applicants, if the applicant is determined a winner, likeness, voice, persona, biographical information and/or statements attributed to the applicant and the applicant’s Application (collectively, “Personality Rights”), in whole or in part, in perpetuity, throughout the world, in all media and formats whether now or later known or developed, including without limitation via Sponsors’ and third-party websites and social media and digital channels, for advertising, trade, promotional and commercial purposes and any other purposes, without further notice or compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Any Application not in compliance with the above or below and does not meet the requirements of these Official Rules will be disqualified.

  • Application must be in English.
  • Any essay submitted as part of an Application may not exceed 150 words per question.
  • Applicant must own all rights to the Application and have the right to grant Sponsors the right to use the Application (any material embodied in the Application).
  • Content may depict, identify and otherwise reference individuals other than the applicant, provided that: (a) such individuals are family or friends of the applicant and (b) applicant secures the written consent of each such individual (if individual is a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, such individual’s parent or legal guardian must be applicant) prior to submission of Application with the understanding that Sponsors may condition the applicant being declared a potential winner upon applicant timely providing Sponsors or their agent with satisfactory written proof of securing such written consent(s).
  • Application must be your original work (modification of an original work is not an original work).
  • Applications must not copy or otherwise plagiarize from any source.
  • Application must not have been submitted previously in a Contest or promotion of any kind or previously exhibited or displayed publicly (i.e., disclosed beyond your immediate circle of friends and family) through any means.
  • Application must be in keeping with Sponsors’ image and may not be offensive, as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion. The Application must not disparage Sponsor or persons or organizations associated with Sponsors.
  • Any Application deemed inappropriate or unsuitable, in Sponsors’ sole discretion, will be disqualified. Applications must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, profane, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous, libelous (including words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic group), violent, self-mutilating (e.g., relating to murder, the sales of weapons, cruelty, abuse, etc.), or illegal (e.g., underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc.).
  • Application must not contain or depict material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination, including without limitation, discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age. The Application must not contain or depict material that is threatening to any person, place, business, group, or world peace or contain words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic group.
  • Application must not contain any content that infringes or may infringe third party rights, including, without limitation, any copyright, name, trademark, logo, trade dress, or other personal or proprietary right of any person living or deceased (including but not limited to rights of privacy or publicity or portrayal in a false light) or entity or make reference to any commercial/corporate advertising (including but not limited to corporate logos, brand names, charities, slogans, political, or religious statements), or be otherwise objectionable. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, publicly displayed and publicly accessible Sponsor content, materials, or products are permitted to be displayed in Applications submitted for this Contest.
  • Application must not include any representation of celebrities, athletes, musicians, or any other third-party (public or private), include any anti-social, political or religious groups, any commercial solicitation or promotional materials or name, address, phone number, or URL address. Applications must not contain advertisements, personal solicitations or commercial solicitations.
  • Automated, script, macro or robotic Applications will be disqualified.
  • Application must not contain viruses, Trojan horses, worms, bots, spyware or any other computer code that is intended to damage, interfere with, or surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or information.
  • Any Application not in compliance with the above will be disqualified.
  1. DETERMINATION OF COHORT: At the conclusion of the Contest Period, all eligible Applications will be judged by the Sponsors based on the following criteria to determine ten (10) winners: Diversity of Background and Perspective (1-20 points); Commitment to AI and Innovation in Marketing, Media, and Advertising (1-20 points); Potential for Impact in Current Roles and the Industry (1-20 points); Commitment to Paying It Forward (1-20 points); and Alignment with Program Goals (1-20 points). Judges will give priority to Applicants whose personal and professional goals align with the mission of the cohort, which focuses on driving innovation, collaboration, and diversity in the AI space within media, marketing, and entertainment. In the event of a tie, tied Applications will be re-judged based solely on Commitment to AI and Innovation in Marketing, Media, and Advertising on a scale of 1 – 100 points. Note that Sponsors reserve the right to determine fewer than ten (10) Applications as the cohort if, in their sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Applications and/or if fewer than ten (10) potential winners return any paperwork requested within the required timeframe, as outlined below. Decisions of Sponsors are final and binding with respect to all matters relating to this Contest.
  2. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will each be contacted via email and required to execute a Declaration of Eligibility/Publicity Release (where legal), an Assignment of Rights and a W-9 form (collectively, the “Release Paperwork”) within two (2) days of notification or potential winner may be disqualified and the Application with the next highest score (“Alternate”) will be determined a potential winner, time permitting (determined by Sponsors for inclusion in the cohort). The Released Parties assume no responsibility for undeliverable emails, including but not limited to those resulting from any form of active or passive email filtering by a user’s Internet service provider and/or email client or for insufficient space in user’s email account to receive email. Potential winners may be subject to a background check at the sole discretion of Sponsors. Based on the results of the background check the potential winner may be disqualified: (a) if charged with or convicted of a felony or misdemeanor; (b) if Sponsors determine, in their sole discretion, that any potential winner may reflect unfavorably on the Contest or Sponsors; (c) if a potential winner is not eligible to be deemed to participate based on the eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules; (d) if, in Sponsors’ sole discretion, applicant’s social media profile(s) contain material that could negatively impact Sponsors’ image or reputation. In such event, the next highest scored applicant will be determined a potential winner, time permitting. Potential winners are subject to verification by Sponsors, whose decisions are final and BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE CONTEST.
  3. PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARVs”): Up to ten (10) prizes: Participation in the Women in AI Cohort which includes mentorship from top industry leaders, access to tactical tools and resources that will help you excel in your role, opportunities to build leadership skills and confidence, a strong peer group of marketing, advertising and entertainment professionals to collaborate with, access to talent networks that will open doors for future growth and a 2-day/1-night trip for winner only to the Women in AI Summit in New York City on November 13, 2024. Trip includes round-trip economy class air transportation from major airport nearest winner’s residence to New York City, hotel accommodations for one (1) night and a Sponsor-selected VIP experience. Participation in the Women in AI Cohort will require joining a monthly, 1-hour virtual session and attending the Women in AI Summit on November 13, 2024 in NYC. If selected, will you be able to attend monthly, virtual sessions and join the summit in person. The estimated ARV of the prize is $1,000.00 USD. Winners are solely responsible for all taxes in connection with the prizes, including without limitation federal, state and local taxes, and the reporting consequences thereof. Prizes are nontransferable, non-assignable, and no substitution is allowed.
  4. GENERAL RULES: No information regarding Applications, other than as otherwise set forth in these Official Rules or on the Website, will be disclosed. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Website or undermine the legitimate operations of the Contest, is a violation of the criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, the Sponsors reserves the right to seek damages from any such applicant to the fullest extent permitted by law and to disqualify such applicant from the Contest. In the event the Contest is compromised by virus, bug, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of Sponsors that corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the Contest, Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to suspend or terminate the Contest and determine the winners based on judging criteria listed above from among all eligible Applications received prior to cancellation. By participating in this Contest, applicants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsors. The Sponsors reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the Application process or the operation of the Contest or Website; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. The Released Parties will have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this Contest or the prizes awarded. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Contest or use or redemption of prizes.
  5. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, Sponsors reserve the right to make all decisions in their sole discretion arising out of or relating to the Contest, and the decisions by Sponsors are final and binding on all matters relating to the Contest. Except where prohibited, you agree that: (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the state of Iowa; (b) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) notwithstanding the foregoing, you waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sponsors in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of Iowa, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the laws of the state of Iowa or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than state of Iowa.
  6. PRIVACY: Any personal information that you provide in connection with the Contest shall be used by Sponsors to administer this Contest, and for the other purposes set forth in the Sponsors’ privacy policies located at https://www.attn.com/privacy and https://thefq.thefemalequotient.com/privacy-policy/ and as allowed by law.
  7. WINNERS LIST: For the list of the winners, send an email to: contact@thefq.com with “Women in AI Cohort winners” as the subject line, available after 11/15/24. The list of winners will be sent after all prizes have been awarded.
